Email Receipts in Shift4 Venue

Description: Learn to email receipts to customers from closed orders and when closing a check in Shift4 Venue.


Send Receipts from Closed Orders

  1. Locate the order that requires a receipt, then select Details.
  2. Select View Receipt to go to the receipt page, then enter the customer's email address.
  3. Select Send. A notification confirms the email was sent successfully.
    Note: To send the receipt to multiple email addresses, separate each address with a comma.

Email Receipts When Closing a Check

  1. Select the order to close, then select Close Order.
  2. Select the payment method requested by the Suite Holder or guest.
  3. Select Review & Sign to proceed.
  4. Review the receipt to confirm there are no missing items and that all charges and entitlements are accurate, then select Proceed To Signature.
    Important: Verify all charges and entitlements before proceeding. Errors cannot be corrected after the order is closed.
  5. Once the customer has verified the gratuity and signed for the order, select Done at the bottom of the page to proceed.
  6. On the order confirmation page, enter the customer's email address in the field provided, then select Send.
    Note: To send the receipt to multiple email addresses, separate each address with a comma. The receipt can also be printed from this page.
