This guide will cover the Android Settings that are necessary for the SkyTab Venue BroadPOS App to function properly on the device, as well as the Static IP Configuration.
💡Ready to link your A35 Card Reader to your Elo Kiosk or need to verify your Apps?
Then proceed to the guides below.
⚠️ Before You Begin
To ensure a smooth setup, please make sure the following items are completed:
🔌 Network Whitelisting
All required ports and hardware endpoints must be allowed on your network.
➡️ View the Network Whitelist Guide
🌐 Network Requirements
Confirm that your setup meets the minimum network standards.
➡️ Review Network Requirements
📡 Static IP Addressing
Each A35 card reader needs a statically reserved IP address that is outside your DHCP range.
🚫 If a reader is assigned a DHCP IP address instead, there's a risk of IP conflicts with other devices. This can cause your kiosk to lose connection with the card reader, making it unusable for payments.
Before we begin, make sure you’ve completed the Elo Kiosk | PAX A35 Card Reader Installation guide. This ensures your A35 device is fully connected and powered on.
⚙️ Accessing Android Settings
- With the A35 powered on, tap the Settings icon.
-
The first time you open the Settings app, you may be asked for a password.
🔐 Password: pax9876@@
🌐 Assigning a Static IP Address
- In Settings, tap Network & Internet.
- Select Ethernet from the list.
You may already see an IP address assigned by your network’s DHCP. If so, you have two options:
-
✅ Use that IP address as your Static IP, but be sure to let your IT/Network team know so they can reserve that IP and prevent other devices from using it.
-
🔁 Or, ask your IT/Network team to provide a list of reserved static IP addresses to use.
- Tap Ethernet Configuration.
- In the pop-up, change the IP setting from DHCP to Static.
- If the fields auto-fill, you can either keep that IP or enter the one given by your network team.
- Tap Save when done.
📌 Note: The IP you assign here will remain static unless manually changed. Make sure to record this IP address—you’ll need it when linking the A35 in Canopy 2.0.
