Verifying the correct app and firmware ensures your A35 reader works seamlessly with your Elo Kiosk and provides a reliable payment experience for your customers.
📅 Current Gold Standard Versions (as of June 12th, 2025):
- A35 Firmware: PayDroid_10.0_Cedar_V17.2.19_20240313
- Shift4 BroadPOS Manager: V1.02.00E_20250226
- Shift4 BroadPOS Lite: V1.00.18E_20241220
📌 Note: If you’re viewing this guide more than 6 months after the listed date, we recommend reaching out to our support team to confirm these versions are still Gold Standard.

🔐 Step 1: Open the PAXStore App
From the home screen of your A35 device:
- Tap the PAXStore app to launch it.
- In the top-left corner, tap the ☰ hamburger menu.
🆔 On this screen, you'll see your A35 Serial Number displayed in the center — keep this handy if support is ever needed.
🛠️ Step 2: Check Your Firmware Version
- In the menu, select Firmware Update.
- Look under Current Version to find your device's firmware version.
- Make sure it matches the version listed below.
- A35 Firmware: PayDroid_10.0_Cedar_V17.2.19_20240313
📦 Step 3: Verify the Shift4 BroadPOS App Version
- Go back a page in the menu and tap Download Task.
- Look for the Shift4 BroadPOS Apps listed.
- Make sure it matches the versions listed below.
- Shift4 BroadPOS Manager: V1.02.00E_20250226
- Shift4 BroadPOS Lite: V1.00.18E_20241220
