This guide outlines what you may encounter on the first boot-up of your new v4 Elo Kiosk.
If you have already booted up your device and gone through the steps outlined in this guide and are ready to configure your Android Settings, SkyTab Venue App, or PAX A35 Card Reader, then please refer to the guides below:
Powering On Your Elo Kiosk
To get started, power on your Elo Kiosk:
- The device should automatically turn on when plugged in.
- If it doesn’t, press the power button located on the back of the device.
Important: Before powering on, make sure the device is connected to Ethernet. This ensures it can immediately connect to EloView to download any required apps or updates.
What to Expect When the Device Boots
Once powered on, your kiosk may boot into one of three screens:
✅ 1. SkyTab Venue App Registration Screen
This is the screen you want to see. It means your kiosk is ready to begin setup. Proceed with the SkyTab Venue App Registration guide to continue your setup.
⚠️ 2. EloView Default Screen – “No content is configured for this device.”
This means your app hasn’t been pushed to the device yet. Please contact your Account Manager or email venuesupport@shift4.com so they can assist in pushing the app to your kiosk.
⚙️ 3. App Selection Screen
If you're presented with a screen showing three options, choose Enroll with EloView.
- After selecting, the kiosk should automatically begin downloading apps and transition to EloView.
- If instead you're taken to a sign-in page or the apps don’t download, please reach out to your Account Manager or email venuesupport@shift4.com for assistance.
Before Contacting Support
Have your device serial number ready. Support will need this to assist you.
- The serial number can be found on the back of the device.
- You can also display it on the screen by pressing the Home + Power buttons at the same time.
