Validating POS Reporting with Gateway Batching in Shift4 Venue

Summary: Use this guide to confirm that point-of-sale (POS) reporting in DataNow aligns with gateway batching data in Lighthouse Transaction Manager (LTM).

1. Review Settlement Totals in DataNow

1. Navigate to DataNow.

2. Under Reports, select Settlement by Processor.

3. Under Effective Business Date, choose the appropriate date or date range.

   • Note: If using the is in range filter, the end date is not included. For example, a range from 3/3 to 3/4 will return results only for March 3 and 4.

4. Select the Load button in the top-right corner.

2. Compare Archived Batches in LTM

1. Navigate to Lighthouse Transaction Manager.

2. Select all relevant Merchant IDs (MIDs).

3. Under Transactions, select Archived Batches.

4. Choose the appropriate Start and End dates, then select Apply.

5. Select Select All, then choose View Selected Batches.

6. Review the total amount, highlighted in yellow, in the Archives Summary section.
