Description: Learn about upcoming enhancements to DataNow, including a new reporting structure designed to improve performance, usability, and consistency while maintaining full data access. The changes will be rolled out in phases to ensure a smooth transition and minimal disruption.
What’s Changing and What’s Staying the Same
We are reorganizing reports into current month and historical tiers.
This allows us to significantly improve performance while maintaining both:
- Recent operational visibility
- Long-term trend analysis
Note: Your data is not going away, it’s simply being delivered more efficiently and predictably.
Phase 1: New Report Structure
Planned Start: March 4
Early Access: February 25
New reports will be introduced while existing reports remain available for at least one month. This overlap allows you to compare outputs and transition at your own pace.
Important: If you currently have scheduled deliveries (email, S3, etc.) tied to reports being retired in Phase 2. Those schedules must be recreated using the new reports before April 8. We recommend reviewing scheduled reports during Phase 1 to ensure a smooth transition. Your account team can assist in identifying impacted schedules and recommending appropriate replacements.
Current Month Reports
Optimized for day-to-day operations and in-event analysis.
Data Scope:
- Current month
- Trailing 7 days from the prior month (for continuity)
Available Reports:
- Sales Hub – Comprehensive view for monitoring sales during and immediately after events
- F&B Sales v2 – Optimized version of the classic F&B Sales report
- Sales Audit v2 – Optimized version built for financial reconciliation and booking sales
Best For:
- Operational review
- Live and post-event analysis
- Current-month reconciliation
Historical Reports
Optimized for trend analysis and long-range performance.
Data Scope:
- Previous 12 completed months
Available Reports:
- Historic: Revenue – Consolidated historical revenue view
- Historic: Sales Audit – Historical financial reconciliation
Best For:
- Month-over-Month comparisons
- Trend analysis
- Long-term financial review
Current + Historical (Bridge)
The Day over Day report blends both tiers, allowing comparative analysis in a single view.
Includes:
- Current month views (items, orders, payments)
- Previous 12 completed months views
Best For:
- Daily trending
- Short- vs. long-term performance comparisons
Phase 2: Report Retirement
Planned Start: April 8
To reduce redundancy and streamline your experience, a small set of legacy reports will be retired. Their functionality is fully supported within the new structure.
Reports Being Retired:
- Sales Summary (including 7-Day)
- Operational Sales (including 7-Day)
- Financial Sales (including 7-Day)
- F&B Sales (old query logic)
- Merchandise Sales
- RvC Items & Orders
- Sales Audit (old query logic)
- Wallet Accounts
Phase 3: Dashboard Tabs
Target Timing: Q2
Following structural improvements in Phases 1 and 2, we plan to introduce tabbed navigation within dashboards.
This enhancement will allow you to:
- Toggle between Current Month and Historical data within a single report
- Navigate between Items, Payments, Adjustments, and other sales views using structured tabs
- Access related analyses in one consolidated location
Benefits:
- Better organization of related content
- Clearer data storytelling
- Reduced visual clutter
- Improved performance by loading only active tabs
Timing is dependent on platform-level support for dashboard tab functionality. Additional rollout details will be shared as they are finalized.
Why We’re Making This Change
This initiative supports:
- Improved performance – Faster load times, especially across larger date ranges
- Cleaner experience – Clear separation between operational and historical use cases
- Consistent drill-throughs – Unified and predictable metric navigation
- Scalability – A stronger reporting foundation for future enhancements
By separating reporting into time periods, we’re able to deliver deeper analysis without sacrificing speed or reliability.
