This guide provides step-by-step instructions for setting up and configuring the SNBC BTP-S80 Thermal Printer for the SkyTab Venue App. Please note that Wi-Fi is not supported on this device. The printer can be configured in several ways, including:

  • 🔌 USB Connection

  • 🌐 LAN (Ethernet) Connection

📡 Network Configuration Requirements

For LAN setups, you’ll need to assign a Static IP Address to your printer.

OR use DHCP Reservations provided by your network administrator.

We recommend preparing either a Static IP or a Static IP Range for your network printer(s) before setup.

If you're unsure how to obtain this information, please consult with your IT team or network provider for assistance.

🔧 Before You Begin

Ensure your SkyTab Venue POS app is updated to at least version 2.19.6, as this is the minimum version required for SNBC printer compatibility.

🔧 SNBC BTP-S80 Printer – Setup Options

Below are the supported configuration options for setting up your SNBC BTP-S80 Thermal Printer, depending on how and where you plan to use it.

💻 Direct USB Receipt Printing

Use this method if you'd like to connect the printer directly to a single workstation (such as an L1400 or Elo Kiosk) for receipt printing only.

📌 Example: A customer-facing receipt printer connected directly to a POS device.

➡️ Follow the steps in this guide to configure USB receipt printing:

(Steps included in this document)

☁️ Cloud USB Receipt Printing

This setup allows multiple devices to send receipt print jobs to a single printer via the cloud, while the printer remains physically connected to one L1400 workstation via USB.

📌 Example: A centralized receipt printer serving several POS devices at the same stand.

🌐 Cloud Ethernet Receipt Printing

Connect the printer to your network using Ethernet (LAN), assign a Static IP Address, and place it anywhere in your location with LAN access. This allows multiple POS devices to route receipts to a single printer.

📌 Example: A shared receipt printer placed conveniently in a stand or service area.

🧾 Cloud Ethernet Fulfillment/Chit Printing

Similar to the Ethernet receipt setup, this configuration is ideal for chit printing in kitchens, bars, or other production areas. Connect the printer via Ethernet, assign a Static IP, and configure it in Canopy 2 to receive routed chits from assigned POS devices.
