This guide provides step-by-step instructions for setting up and configuring the SNBC BTP-S80 Thermal Printer for LAN/Ethernet.

📡 Network Configuration Requirements

For LAN setups, you’ll need to assign a Static IP Address to your printer.

We recommend preparing either a Static IP or a Static IP Range for your network printer(s) before setup.

If you're unsure how to obtain this information, please consult with your IT team or network provider for assistance.

For other SNBC BTP-S80 printer setups, please follow the guide below,

🔌 Step 1: Connect Your Printer

Begin by connecting the power and network (Ethernet) cables to the back of the printer.

  • 🟡 Ethernet cable: Plug into the port labeled "Ethernet."

  • 🔋 Power cable: Insert with the flat side facing down (the rounded part should align with the retainer clip).

  • Power: The printer should immediately power on once plugged in; if not, hold the power on/off button on the front of the device until it turns on.

📦 Out of the box, the printer is set up to automatically obtain an IP address using DHCP.

🧾 Step 2: Print the Configuration Page (to Get the IP Address)

  1. Turn off the printer.

  2. Hold the FEED button, then press and hold the Power button.

  3. Keep holding both until a configuration page prints.

  4. Look for the IP address on the printout.

✅ You can use this IP address to access the printer’s settings in a web browser.

🌐 Step 3: Access Printer Settings in a Web Browser

Note: Make sure your computer is connected to the same network as the printer. This is important as if they’re on different networks, you may not be able to access the printer in your browser.

  1. Open any browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.).

  2. Enter the IP address shown on the config page (e.g., http://10.10.10.151).

  3. Once the printer’s web interface loads, click "Configure Interface".

🔒 Step 4: Log In to the Printer

When prompted:

  • Username: admin

  • Password: (leave blank)

📡 Step 5: Set a Static IP Address (Required)

  1. Choose “Fixed IP Address” in the interface.

  2. Enter the static IP settings provided by your IT team.

  3. Click “Save.”

  4. On the left side, select “REBOOT” to apply the changes.

⚠️ Important: The reboot will turn the printer off completely. You’ll need to manually power it back on.

📄 To confirm the new IP address was saved, print a new configuration page using the same steps as before. You may also take the IP you statically assigned and search it in your web browser as we executed previously.

If you run into any problems trying to access the Printer Settings in a browser with the IP you statically assigned, please contact venuesupport@shift4.com or work with your Network IT for assistance.
