Step 1:
When a guest is ready to close their tab, the first thing you should do is tap the Sync Orders button in the top left corner. This will ensure that you have the latest updates for the order that may have been entered on a different device.
Step 2:
On the home screen, find the order you would like to close and tap Close Order
Step 3:
Select a payment method
Step 4a:
For guest-facing (guest signs on screen):
- Tap Review & Sign Screen
- Tap Proceed to Signature
- Guest adds gratuity, signs, taps Done
- After a successful authorization, you will be redirected to the order receipt
- If the final authorization fails for any reason, you will be redirected to the order details, where you will have the opportunity to select a new payment method and re-attempt closing the order. The order will now appear as an open order on the home screen with "No Payment" as the payment type.
Step 4b:
For auth slip printing:
- Tap Print Slip, Select a printer
- Tap Finalize Later
- To add gratuity and close the order after receiving the signed slip from the guest, tap Details > More Options > Finalize > Add Gratuity (if no added gratuity, tap Finalize Amount here instead)
- Enter gratuity amount and tap Set Gratuity > Finalize Amount
- After a successful authorization, you will be redirected to the order receipt
- If the final authorization fails for any reason, you will be redirected to the order details, where you will have the opportunity to select a new payment method and re-attempt closing the order. The order will now appear as an open order on the home screen with "No Payment" as the payment type.
