Description: This article explains how to apply and manage modifiers when ordering items in QuickService POS. Modifiers allow you to customize menu items based on customer preferences or required options.
Select a Menu Item
Select the menu item the customer would like to order.
Note: You can switch between menu categories by selecting a category from the top of the screen.
Add or Remove Modifiers
If the item does not have modifiers, it will appear directly in the cart on the left side of the screen.
If the item has modifiers, you’ll be directed to a modifiers screen. This screen allows you to customize the item based on the modifier options configured by your manager.
To remove a selected modifier, select Remove in the top-right corner of the screen.
Some modifiers may include an additional charge. This is shown on the right side of the modifier item.
Note: For example, CHIPS +$2.00 indicates that selecting this modifier will add $2.00 to the total.
Review the Cart
After making your modifier selections, the item will be added to the cart.
Scroll using the touchscreen to review the cart contents.
If the customer orders multiple quantities of the same item, the Qty field will reflect the total.
If any selected modifiers have an extra cost, this will appear in the line item total.
