📖 Overview

This guide will walk you through the essential Android settings for your PAX L1400 Workstation and A3700 Card Reader to ensure proper functionality of the Shift4 Venue POS App.

We'll also show you how to assign a Wi-Fi network and verify your LAN connection to keep your devices running smoothly.

🌐 Network Settings

🛠️ Only needs to be completed on the L1400 Workstation

🔗 The A3700 receives its network connection through the L1400 when docked or directly connected.

📶 Before jumping into Android Settings, we recommend first connecting to your network. Some settings will automatically sync from PAXStore once a connection is established.

  1. Open Android Settings on the L1400.
  2. Navigate to Network & Internet (this is usually the default section).

🔌 Ethernet Connection (Recommended)

  • Ensure Ethernet is toggled ON (should be on by default).
  • Wait a few seconds for a connection to be established.
  • Tap Ethernet if you want to view or modify the DHCP-assigned IP address.

✅ If your L1400 is online, you can continue to the [App Verification Guide] after completing Android Settings below.

📡 Wi-Fi Connection (if Ethernet is unavailable)

  1. Toggle Ethernet to OFF
  2. Toggle Wi-Fi to ON
  3. Tap Wi-Fi and select your dedicated POS Wi-Fi network
    • 🔐 Ensure the POS Wi-Fi is on the same VLAN as your Ethernet devices
    • 🔄 Bridging (or Crosstalk) should be enabled on your network

✅ Once connected, continue to the [App Verification Guide] after completing Android Settings below.
