This guide will cover enabling and disabling the cash payment tender on POS. It can be set venue-wide or at the revenue center level.
Venue Level Configuration:
- Access Canopy 2.0 by navigating to your instance-menu.ordernext.com in Canopy 2.0, select Settings from the left sidebar menu.
- Under Settings select Venue Settings.
- From here scroll down to ‘Allow Cash Payments on POS.’
- Set the slider on the far right to either the ON or OFF position depending on what you want to achieve. Then select SAVE in the top right corner.
- From here scroll down to ‘Allow Cash Payments on POS.’
- Under Settings select Venue Settings.
- To apply the change you made on the POS navigate to the Hamburger Menu in the SkyTab Venue POS App.
- Under the Hamburger Menu select ‘Refresh Config’ to pull down the changes you made in Canopy 2.0 to the POS.
- This will have to be done on all your POS terminals to reflect an immediate change, otherwise, the changes made should reflect on the POS within 5-10 minutes depending on the connection speed.
- Under the Hamburger Menu select ‘Refresh Config’ to pull down the changes you made in Canopy 2.0 to the POS.
Revenue Center Configuration:
- Access Canopy 2.0 by navigating to your instance-menu.ordernext.com in Canopy 2.0, select Revenue Centers under the Menus dropdown.
- Under Revenue Centers, identify which location you wish to modify the Cash Tender option on.
- Select the location and scroll down to Payment & Tender Settings.
- Set the slider for Enable Cash Tender to either the ON or OFF position depending on what you want to achieve. Then select SAVE.
- Select the location and scroll down to Payment & Tender Settings.
- Under Revenue Centers, identify which location you wish to modify the Cash Tender option on.
Note: Modifying the Cash Tender setting on the Revenue Center is an override from the Venue Level setting.
- To apply the change you made on the POS navigate to the Hamburger Menu in the SkyTab Venue POS App.
- Under the Hamburger Menu select ‘Refresh Config’ to pull down the changes you made in Canopy 2.0 to the POS.
- This will have to be done on all your POS terminals to reflect an immediate change, otherwise, the changes made should reflect on the POS within 5-10 minutes depending on the connection speed.
