🧩 How to Use Modifier Groups in Menu Manager

Modifier Groups let you add flexible options to menu items—like condiments, drink mixers, or sides—so guests or cashiers can customize orders. These options show up automatically during checkout when a related item is added to the cart.

✏️ Before You Start

Before creating a Modifier Group, make sure you've already created the Modifier Items (e.g., "Ketchup", "Ranch", "Extra Ice").

➕ How to Create a Modifier Group

1. Go to Menu Manager at yourvenue-menu.ordernext.com

2. From the left menu, click the Menus dropdown, then choose Modifier Groups

3. Click the blue + icon in the top-right corner to add a new group

4. On the Add Modifier Group panel:

   • Enter a Name for your Modifier Group (used internally)

   • Enter a Display Name (this is what guests/cashiers will see)

   • Under the Modifiers section:

     • Scroll or search to find the Modifier Items you want to include

     • Use the Selected Items tab to review or remove choices

💡 Tip: Modifier Items in a group will appear with a blue “M” in the Global Items list, showing they’re part of a Modifier Group.

5. Click Save in the Modifiers panel

6. Then click Save again in the Add Modifier Group panel to finish

🔃 How to Sort Modifier Groups

1. Go to Modifier Groups in Menu Manager

2. Click the Sort button (top-right corner)

3. Drag and drop Modifier Groups into your preferred order

   • Use the dropdown arrow to sort individual Modifiers within a group

🔁 Sorting is global—your changes will reflect across all menus

4. Click Save to apply your new order

💡 Modifier Groups and Modifiers appear in the order you set here when cashiers or guests make their selections.
