View Tip Report in Shift4 Venue

Summary: Learn how to access and use the Tip Report in the F&B Sales tab in DataNow to review tips by device, employee, and location across all service types.

Overview

The Tip Report tile in the F&B Sales tab provides a complete view of tips by Device ID, Employee, and Location across all service types.

Note: Non-POS (Point of Sale) service type orders do not include employee data. In these cases, the Employee field will be blank.

Depending on your venue’s standard operating procedure (SOP), Shift4 provides a breakdown of locations where tips are collected from non-POS service type orders. This enables you to manually allocate tips by employee if needed.

Pull Tips for All Service Types

To generate a report that includes tips across all service types:

  1. Log in to DataNow.

  2. Select the F&B Sales tab.

  3. Enter the calendar date of the event.

  4. Do not select the blue refresh icon.

  5. Scroll down to the Tip Report tile.

  6. Select the three dots in the upper-right corner of the tile.

  7. Select Download.

The downloaded report includes tip details by Employee Name, Device ID, and Location.

Note: If employees use multiple devices or work in different locations on the same day, they will appear on multiple rows. You may need to create a Pivot Table to calculate total tips per employee.
