- Listen for an audible chime, which confirms successful registration.
- If the Shift4 Venue app reboots, select OK when prompted to allow scanner access.
- Run a test scan to confirm the scanner is functioning correctly.
Note: If issues occur after setup, contact venuesupport@shift4.com for assistance.
Configure the Zebra DS457 Built-In Kiosk Scanner
Follow these steps for the Zebra DS457 scanner mounted on Elo Kiosks.
-
Scan the Mobile Phone/Display Mode barcode first.
Note: If the scanner does not register, hold the button on top of the scanner and try again.
- Once the success chime sounds, scan the Symbol Native API (SNAPI) with Imaging Interface barcode.
The scanner is now configured for kiosk use.
Troubleshoot Power Issues
Use the steps below if a Zebra DS9208 or DS9308 scanner does not power on.
- Confirm the USB cable is fully inserted into the HUB.
- Verify the RJ connector is fully seated in the scanner port.
-
If the scanner still does not power on, unplug and replug the USB cable.
Note: If the RJ connector is difficult to remove, use a paper clip or flat-head screwdriver to release it carefully.
Important: If the scanner still does not power on after completing these steps, contact venuesupport@shift4.com before attempting further hardware adjustments to avoid device damage.
