This article explains how to search for, manage, and create device configurations in Canopy 2.0. Device configurations allow users to set up and manage settings for various POS devices, ensuring they are properly connected and functional.

 


 

How to Search for a Device Configuration

  1. In Canopy 2.0, select the Devices drop-down on the left side of the screen.
  2. Choose Configurations from the list.
  3. All available device configurations will be displayed on the page.
  4. To search for a specific device configuration, use the search box on the right side of the page.
    Note: Enter the exact name of the desired Device Configuration.
  5. All matching Device Configurations will appear.
  6. Select the desired configuration to open the Edit Configuration panel.

 


 

Managing a Device Configuration

In the Edit Configuration panel, you can view and edit the following details:

  • Name
  • Mode
  • Receipt Printer Name
  • Host IP (if applicable)
  • Token / Key
  • Store ID (if applicable)
  • Terminal ID (if applicable)
  • Production URL
  • UAT URL

After making any necessary changes, select Save at the bottom of the panel. To discard changes, select the X at the top right of the panel.

 


 

How to Add a Device Configuration

  1. In Canopy 2.0, select the Devices drop-down on the left side of the screen.
  2. Choose Configurations from the list.
  3. Select the blue plus icon at the top right of the page to open the Add Configuration panel.

In the Add Configuration panel, you can enter the following information:

  • Name
  • Mode
  • Revenue Center
  • Receipt Printer Name
  • Host IP (if applicable)
  • Token / Key
  • Store ID (if applicable)
  • Terminal ID (if applicable)
  • Production URL
  • UAT URL

Once all required information is added, select Save to create the device configuration. To discard changes, select the X at the top right corner of the panel.
