This guide explains how to create, manage, edit, enable, and disable Price Levels in Canopy 2.0. Price Levels let venues adjust item pricing based on specific events or services, enabling dynamic pricing and event-based reporting.
Price Levels now support Customer Facing Display (CFD) images. This feature allows you to assign a custom CFD image to a Price Level. When the Price Level is activated, the associated image will automatically appear across all Revenue Centers.
β What Are Price Levels?
Price Levels allow you to assign alternate pricing to menu items for different events. They are especially useful for venues hosting a variety of events with varying demand.

π οΈ How to Create a Price Level
Follow these steps to create and configure a new Price Level:
π₯οΈ Step 1: Log In
Go to: yourinstance-menu.ordernext.com
(Replace βyourinstanceβ with your organizationβs instance name.)
βοΈ Step 2: Open Price Levels
In the left-hand menu, click Settings.
Scroll down and select Venue Settings.
Scroll down to Price Level and select Edit Price Level.
β Step 3: Add a New Price Level
In the Edit Price Levels window, click Add Price Level.
In the Add Price Level panel:
π·οΈ Enter the Name of the Price Level.
πΌοΈ (Optional) Apply a Customer Facing Display (CFD) image.
π² Step 4: Assign Item Pricing
Select Modify Item Prices.
The Global Items window will open.
For each item you want to adjust:
Enter the unique price for this Price Level.
Any items left unchanged will use the default price.
πΎ Step 5: Save Your Changes
Click Save to apply your new Price Level.
Or click Cancel β to exit without saving.
β Tip: After creating your Price Level, test a few items to confirm the pricing is correct before going live.
βοΈ Editing or Deleting a Price Level
Within the Price Levels section, you can:
- π Rename an existing Price Level.
ποΈ Delete a Price Level by clicking Delete Price Level
β οΈ This action is permanent and will prompt a confirmation.
π Enabling or Disabling Price Levels
To turn Price Levels on or off:
- Navigate to Settings > Scroll to Price Level
- Use the Price Level dropdown to select the desired Price Level
π Only one Price Level can be active at a time.
If no Price Level should be enabled, then you should have the Default selected.
