Reboot the Device
Start by rebooting the PAX terminal to refresh the system.
- Press and hold the Power button.
- Select Restart or power the device off and back on.
Close the Open Batch
After rebooting, use the Shift4 app to close the pending batch.
- Open the Shift4 app.
- Tap FUNC.
- Select Batch.
- Choose Batch Close.
Note: Once the batch is successfully closed, the error should no longer appear. Retry the original transaction to confirm.
Confirm the Correct Apps Are Installed
Before proceeding with additional troubleshooting or device setup, confirm that the correct Shift4 apps are installed.
