This new section provides an improved approach to managing seating configurations and mapping aisles to Revenue Centers. This feature supports Delivery, POS Belly-Up, and POS Tabs menus:

  • For Delivery: It ensures orders are delivered to the correct seat, aisle, or section.
  • For POS Belly-Up & Tabs: It enables a more traditional restaurant-style service, allowing staff to associate orders with specific seats or tables.

Navigating Seat Manifest

Moving Through Columns

When managing your seat manifest, you are able to drill down from the Section Level to the Seats. To move into the next column, click the " > " on the item in the current column. This action opens up the next set of manifest options.

Making Name Changes

Occasionally, there may be times in which the name of an item in a column needs to be changed. Clicking on the name of the item in the column will present an edit section on the right-hand side. In this section, you can make your name changes and click Save

Note: Changing the name of an item to one that matches another item in the column will consolidate them into one object.

Seat Manifest Structure

Section Levels

The highest level of organization, Section Levels, categorize the venue’s seating into broad areas, such as:

  • Courtside
  • Main Concourse
  • Upper Concourse

Aisles

Aisles represent groupings of deliverable sections and seats. These are strategically defined to optimize the delivery process:

  • Aisles ensure that the delivery runner goes to the correct aisle to reach the nearest seat efficiently.
  • This prevents unnecessary movement and avoids passing orders across entire sections.

Sections

Sections align with the venue’s layout and define smaller seating areas. Sections can also be designated as “Places,” meaning no further selection of rows or seats is required.

  • Places are often used for Suites, Tables, or General Areas that don’t have traditional row/seat structures. Places are defined during the initial bulk upload process.

Rows

Rows further divide sections based on the venue’s seating structure, ensuring an accurate representation of where guests are seated.

Seats

Seats represent the most granular level of seating and are assigned based on the venue’s specific configuration. Orders can be tied to exact seats to ensure precise delivery and service.

Aisle-to-Revenue Center Mapping

Aisles can now be linked to revenue centers from two convenient locations:

  • Canopy 2.0 > Settings > Seat Manifest > Aisles > Revenue Centers
  • Canopy 2.0 > Menus > Revenue Centers > Aisles

This dual-location access ensures greater flexibility and ease of management.

Bulk Management & Exporting

For venues requiring large-scale adjustments, this update also introduces the ability to:

  • Export the current seat manifest for reference or record-keeping.
  • Perform bulk replacements or additions to update seating configurations efficiently.

To retrieve the upload template, begin the upload process by:

  • Selecting the upload icon in the upper right-hand corner
  • Select an option from the dropdown
  • Click Next
  • Click Download Template
