Applying Discounts on POS for Quick Serve

Once a discount has been configured in Canopy, it can be manually applied to an order on the POS. A discount must be configured with the following criteria to be available for manual application on the POS:

  • Included Affiliations = Public (all)
  • Redemption Method = Manual (promo)
    • There must also be a promo code configured for this setting, but the promo code does not have to be entered in the POS in order to be applied.


Applying a Discount

If there are available discounts, you will see a Discount button during the checkout flow.


Description: You will learn how to apply Discounts to an order on the VenueNext POS system.


Discount on the POS


1. Log on to the VenueNext POS system.

4. Select which Discount you want to apply. Then select Apply Discounts.Screenshot 2024-04-17 at 12.11.41 PM.png

 Note: You can apply more items to the order and the discount will apply to the other items as well.

6. Select the hamburger menu (3 lines) and select where to go next. 

  1. Menu
  2. Orders
  3. Configuration
  4. Refresh Config
  5. Sync Network Data
  6. Debug
