Description: Shift4 Venue integrates with TicketMaster to support Loaded Tickets—event tickets bundled with virtual currency. This virtual currency can be used at the point of sale and for mobile orders. This guide explains the user experience, administrative controls, and setup process for TicketMaster Loaded Tickets and SKU Loaded Tickets.
Load TicketMaster Loaded Tickets
Once activated, a Load Tickets button appears on the Wallet home screen. Users can:
- Select eligible tickets 60 minutes before the Access Control Start Time.
- Enter a ticket number manually (e.g., for PDF tickets).
- Choose which tickets to load if multiple tickets exist for an event.
Important: Once a ticket is loaded, its value is non-transferrable. A confirmation disclaimer will appear to remind users not to load tickets intended for transfer.
Note: Loaded ticket funds expire at 3 a.m. the day after the event.
Special Scenarios
- Doubleheaders: Only the first game's tickets are shown initially. Tickets for the second game will appear 60 minutes before its Access Control Start Time.
- Stolen Tickets: Admins can credit the rightful ticket owner via the Shift4 Venue Loyalty app. The original loader’s data is accessible, and funds can be removed if necessary.
- Guessed Ticket Numbers: Though extremely unlikely (1 in 4.7 x 10^19), the same stolen ticket workflow can be applied if a ticket is manually guessed and loaded.
Enable TicketMaster Loaded Tickets
To enable this feature:
- Contact your Shift4 Venue account manager.
- Contact your TicketMaster representative to enable the Loaded Value Barcode feed.
Use SKU Loaded Tickets
SKU Loaded Tickets apply specific discount affiliations:
- Discounts are tied to ticket affiliations.
- Promotions can be restricted by location, number of uses, or item SKUs.
- Affiliations apply only on the event day and are removed afterward.
Enable SKU Loaded Tickets
- Work with your Shift4 Venue account manager to create required affiliations.
- Ask your TicketMaster rep to configure added value tickets.
- Ensure the "export_type" matches the affiliations set up in Shift4 Venue.
- Create a promotion and limit eligibility to users with the designated affiliation.
