Switching devices between venues and orgs within the same ecosystem on the same APK build is now supported on POS Summit builds.

Prerequisites
- Finish and sync all pending transactions and orders on every device before migration.
- Ensure the target venue/organization is configured and ready. If you see “Unable to proceed" after de-registering from the current venue, please contact support to validate the configuration for the target venue.
Switching One or More Devices Between Venues in the Same Organization
- Login to Device Manager App in Canopy 2 (instancename-devices.ordernext.com) > confirm that the current venue where the device(s) are registered is selected in the dropdown in the top left
- Go to Hardware > Registered > Locate device(s) by Serial Number or Device ID > Select the device(s) > tap Deregister
- From the Shift4 Venue POS app on the device(s), open the hamburger menu > tap Sync Network Data > arrive at the registration screen
- You can now register your device(s) to the new venue
- To manually register individual devices > scan the QR code on the registration screen from a mobile device and follow the instructions
- To bulk register multiple devices > in Device Manager App, select the target venue from dropdown in top left > go to Hardware > Pending > Locate device(s) by Serial Number or Device ID > Select the device(s) > tap Register
Switching One or More Devices Between Organizations in the Same Ecosystem
- Login to Device Manager App > confirm that the current venue where the device(s) are registered is selected in the dropdown in the top left
- Go to Hardware > Registered > Locate device(s) by Serial Number or Device ID > Select the device(s) > tap Deregister
- From the Shift4 Venue POS app on the device(s), open the hamburger menu > tap Sync Network Data > arrive at the registration screen
- You can now register your device(s) to the new organization
- To manually register individual devices > scan the QR code on the registration screen from a mobile device and follow the instructions
- To bulk register multiple devices > reach out to Shift4 Venue Support (877.559.4225, venuesupport@shift4.com) or to your Enterprise Account Manager with a CSV list of device Serial Numbers
- Note: There is an upcoming feature to allow for bulk upload of devices in Device Manager for this use case
