What does the badge look like?

What is the badge used for?

  • The badge is typically used as a quick way for members to gain access to an exclusive area or to receive any other member-exclusive benefit.
  • As seen in the above video, the badge has built-in fraud prevention by tapping it to change colors.
  • These two colors are configurable as described below.
  • Additionally, the QR code displayed on the user's badge can be scanned by the Loyalty App so that virtual currency can quickly be credited or debited while on the go.

Who gets a badge?

  • As of October 2021, all signed-in users get access to the badge.
  • Only Ticketmaster Archtic/ Team Accounts, AXS, & TDC Accounts can be configured to be a part of a tier/ affiliation.
  • The configuration for each type of user is described below.

How do I configure the badge on my OrderNext site?

The following information needs to be provided to VenueNext for each badge tier/ affiliation. Currently, this is something that VenueNext must configure.

  • Ticketmaster Archtic / Team Accounts
    • TM Account group ID - not the account group name
    • Tier/ affiliation name - this can be the same as the account group name, but doesn't have to be (i.e. Bronze)
    • Primary Hex Color
    • Secondary Hex Color
    • Rank

  • AXS Ticketing Accounts
    • Custom field value ID (Not name)
    • Tier/ affiliation name - this can be the same as the custom field value, but doesn't have to be (i.e. Season Member)
    • Primary Hex Color
    • Secondary Hex Color
    • Rank

  • Tickets.com (TDC)
    • Patron trait name
    • Tier/ affiliation name - this can be the same as the custom field value, but doesn't have to be (i.e. Season Member)
    • Primary Hex Color
    • Secondary Hex Color
    • Rank

  • SeatGeek
    • client_type
    • Tier/ affiliation name - this can be the same as the custom field value, but doesn't have to be (i.e. Season Member)
    • Primary Hex Color
    • Secondary Hex Color
    • Rank
  • Signed-in users not in a Tier/ Affiliation
    • Primary Hex Color
    • Secondary Hex Color

  • Rank is used to determine which tier/ affiliation to use if the user belongs to more than 1. Rank 1 is the highest.

  • When picking the primary & secondary colors keep in mind that the font on the badge is white and does not change from white.

What else can I do with the badge configuration?

  • Now that the badge is configured & tiers/ affiliations are defined F&B/ Merch discounts & Marketplace exclusivity can be configured for each

  • Discounts & promos
    • The first step will be to create a new affiliation on the Discounts & Promos page in Canopy for each tier, using the same tier/ affiliation name provided to VenueNext
    • DO NOT enter in a type or subtype when creating the affiliation
    • After the affiliation is created, then a discount can be configured
    • Reference the Discounts & Promos article for further details

  • Marketplace Exclusivity
    • Marketplace experiences can not be configured to be exclusive to a specific tier/ affiliation, just like how experiences used to be configured as exclusive to season-ticket-holders
    • Season-ticket-holders exclusivity has been replaced with the new tier/ affiliation approach
    • Reference the Creating Experiences article for further details
