Flamelink Account

Contact VenueNext to be setup with a Flamelink account.

Main Navigation Pages

The first thing to do when configuring an app in Flamelink is to define the main navigations pages.  These are the pages that will display in bottom nav, i.e. Home, Swamp, Tickets, and Account in the below example.

After the main navigation pages have been setup, you will then want to define the sections that will group the items on each page.  “Enhance your gameday”, “Getting Here”, and “Get Assistance” are sections in the below example.

In Flamelink sections are defined by clicking the + sign in the rows that has Name & Items in the header. Screen_Shot_2019-12-04_at_10.44.03_AM.png

More than one section is not required, but is recommend if there are several items in/on a single page

Items can then be added to to a page as buttons in the appropriate section. Items can be added by clicking the + sign in the rows that has Title, Subtext, URL, etc.. in thee row header.

The URL field is the destination for when that item is tapped.  If a webview isn’t being used, see below for supported SDK actions.

An item icon isn’t required, but when being used the ImageURL needs to be copied from Flamelink media - see the Hero & Carousel Images training for more details.

Hero & Carousel Images

Before configuring icons & images in Flamelink, they should first be uploaded into Flamelink by clicking Media on the left hand navigation.

Hero images or carousel images are defined in the Featured section.

The ImageURL can be copied from the Media page in Flamelink after searching for the specific image.

Launch a URL is supported for carousel images.  Hero images are display only.

Items can be configured to navigate to a sub-page that can then have its own sections & items configured.  To configure a sub-page, follow these steps:

  1. When viewing the list of pages, click new entry
  2. Enter the name of the sub-page (i.e. Parking)
    • The name of the sub-page will display in the header of the sub-page
    • Also, the sub-page name can currently only be 1 word
  3. Enter the sections, items, and images like you would any other page and then save your configuration
  4. Go to the pre-existing page that should have an item to the newly created sub-page
  5. Enter the URL for the item as vn:subpage/Pagename (i.e. vn:subpage/Parking) and then save

Tabbed Web-views

Any page can be configured to show multiple web-views in a horizontal tabular format.  To configure a tabbed web-views, follow these steps:

  1. On any page add an item that will be used to link to a page that has tabbed web views
  2. The URL for that item should instead be vn:tabbed
  3. In the Tabbed WebView grid enter the name of each tab and the web-view URL it should load
    • Page name should be 1 word, less than 12 characters
    • Limit the number of tabs to 4
    • Content of tabs can only be web-views
  4. Click save when complete
  5. Note - show in browser can not be used, only works with single web views
