Access App [NEW!]

General Overview

Access App is a replacement for the Suites App to create POS Accounts. The interface has been designed around concessions and restaurant use-cases to align with industry specific verbiage.

  • Two roles are available for POS Accounts: Cashiers & Managers.

  • PINs can be viewed in the POS Account list by clicking the eyeball icon.

  • PINs must be created with a minimum of 5 digits.

    • Existing PINs with a length <5 digits will still be accepted. However, if a PIN <5 digits is changed, it will require you to enter 5 digits.

  • POS Accounts created in Access App are able to be used organization-wide.

    • Note: When editing a POS Account that was originally created in Suites App, you will need to convert the account to an Organization Attendant. This converts the account for it to be modified and used within all venues in the organization.

⚠️ Changes to Menu-Level Pricing Abilities

We've made some important changes to how menu-level pricing works in Canopy 1.0 to enhance stability and streamline your experience.

What's New:

  • Global Item Pricing as Source of Truth: To ensure consistency and reliability across all features offered by VenueNext, we've made global item prices the primary source of truth for pricing within menus.

  • Exception: Activated Price Level: While global item prices will be the default, you can still utilize activated price levels for specific items.

What Stays the Same:

  • Existing Menu-Level Pricing: Don't worry, your existing menu-level pricing configurations will remain intact.

  • Clearing Menu-Level Pricing: Please note that modifying the global item price will clear any menu-level pricing for the item.

For a Smoother Experience:

  • Adopt Global Item Pricing: We encourage all users to adopt global item pricing, as it allows seamless integration with Menu Manager.

Ecosystem Changes:

We’ve implemented these changes in specific ecosystems:

  • CRUX (East Coast Customers): Menu-level pricing restriction has been completed.

  • LYRA (Midwest Customers): Menu-level pricing restriction has been completed.

  • LEVIS (49ers): Menu-level pricing abilities restriction has been completed.

  • DRACO (United Kingdom Customers): Menu-level pricing restriction has been completed.
