Setting up A800 Devices

Description: This article covers the setup of A800 devices. These settings are crucial for the VenueNext app to operate as intended.

  1. Date and Time
    • Near the bottom of the settings, select System, then Date & Time. Ensure the time zone matches the local time zone the device is in. Note: if you adjust the time zone and it doesn't update, this may be because we have not connected to a network yet.
    • If a passcode is required, use pax9876@@



  1. Duraspeed
    • Within the settings, go to DuraSpeed and turn the toggle off.

  1. Display Settings
    • Towards the top of settings, select Display Settings, then Advanced, and finally Display Size. Set the Display Size to the smallest setting.

 

  1. Network
    • Within the settings, select WiFi.
      • If using a wireless network toggle Wi-Fi on and connect to the desired Secure Network
      • If using a cellular connection, select it under Mobile Network. Note: We should use WiFi if we have a Secure Network for POS as Cellular is a billable feature

  1. Shift4 P2PE
    • Open the Shift4 P2PE app from the home screen. You may be prompted with the PAX User Agreement that you will be required to accept.



  1. VN App
    • Back at the home screen, open the VN POS app (black icon).



  1. Registration
    • Once you have opened the VN App, you will be prompted with a QR Code. Scan the QR code using your phone's camera
    • This will take you to the Canopy login page. Log in as normal, or if needed, select forgot password. Note: If you don’t receive a password reset link please contact help@venuenext.com or your Project Manager for assistance.
    • Once logged in, select the Organization and Venue the device is associated with. In most cases only one option will be available under each drop down. In the scenario where more than one is available, and you are unsure which to select, please contact help@venuenext.com or your Project Manager.
    • Once the Organization and Venue have been selected, press submit. If the device hasn’t already moved to the menu selection screen, press done.
  1. Select Menu
    • The device will prompt you to select either Concessions POS or Kiosk. Select Concessions POS.
    • Select Next and you'll be prompted to select a menu.
    • After selecting the desired menu the device will be ready for use. You may be prompted to log in with a PIN. If you are unsure of the PIN please reach out to help@venuenext.com or your Project Manager.
